Jeff Musser was born and raised by two loving parents in a quiet neighborhood of Sacramento California. From the very beginning it was evident that painting and drawing were more than just a way to pass the time in between school and little league baseball. His parents saw his talent for draftsmanship early and encouraged him with art supplies instead of toys. In his freshman year of High School a one of a kind teacher recognized his passion and opened up a whole new world of artistic opportunities. Her guidance coupled with his parents love prepared him for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where he obtained his degree in 2000. After a brief and dreadful position as a graphic artist designing Happy Meals for a Chicago based advertising firm, Jeff stopped ignoring who he was and started painting again. “ As a result of the job my own personal artistic pursuits suffered greatly. Leaving that job was one of the beast things to happen to me. Sure paying rent was an issue for a while, but my work has made leaps and bounds since that time.” His artwork can be found in multiple corporate collections across the country and numerous private collections, most notably, Oprah Winfrey.
